A Brand Built on Precision, Clarity and Real‑World Use
Say hello to Scan You Later, a brand built for clarity, accuracy and real‑world application.
Founded by architects, engineers and project managers, the business was designed to deliver scanning data that’s not just precise, but actually usable. The brand needed to reflect that same mindset, direct, capable and focused on performance without unnecessary noise.
The project also included a website designed to reflect that same level of clarity, giving the team a digital presence that communicates their offer quickly and confidently. The identity was built to feel sharp, confident and structured. A suite of logo variations, including a geometric lettermark, wordmark and stacked format, allows the brand to flex across technical documentation, digital touchpoints and physical applications.
The system is anchored by a monochrome palette and a distinctive laser line running through the identity, a clear visual reference to precision and process.
The result is a brand that feels controlled, recognisable and built to hold up in a demanding, technical environment.

Clarity, Structure and Performance at Every Touchpoint
The brand was designed to reflect the way the business operates, precise, efficient and built for people who need reliable output, not interpretation.
At the core of the identity is a structured logo system designed to flex across different environments. A geometric lettermark, wordmark and stacked version allow the brand to adapt from technical drawings and documentation through to digital and physical applications, without losing clarity or impact.
The visual language is deliberately controlled. A monochrome base creates a strong, grounded foundation, while the laser line cuts through the identity as a clear reference to the service itself, scanning, accuracy and precision. It acts as both a visual anchor and a functional motif that can be applied consistently across layouts.
This approach creates a brand that feels confident without being overstated. Everything is designed to be legible, usable and immediate, supporting how the business communicates rather than adding complexity.
The result is a system that holds together across all touchpoints, allowing the brand to scale, adapt and perform in real‑world technical environments without losing its edge.

A Brand Built to Perform in Practice
This project focused on building a brand that reflects how Scan You Later operates, precise, efficient and grounded in real‑world use.
The challenge was to create something that communicates technical capability without adding unnecessary complexity. A brand that feels confident and structured, while still being adaptable across different environments and touchpoints.
The result is a flexible identity system that works across everything from technical documentation to digital platforms and physical applications. Clear enough to communicate quickly, but robust enough to scale with the business.
The website extends this further, giving the team a digital presence that communicates their offer clearly and supports how they present their work to clients.
Most importantly, it’s a brand that functions as a tool, supporting communication, reinforcing credibility and making the business easier to operate day‑to‑day.

“Having worked with Mel successfully on a rebranding project, I knew immediately that there was no one else I’d trust to help us with our new startup. We involved her from the very early stages, when we were still getting the company up and running. She really helped us hone in on the unique selling points of the business and focus on how we could stand out in the marketplace.
Our business operates in a very specific tech area, and Mel didn’t shy away from that at all, she grasped the concept immediately. Beyond branding, she has brought a wealth of experience, endless enthusiasm, and valuable insight into so many areas of the business.”— SYL Co‑Founder

Clarity Makes the Difference
If you’re launching something new or pushing your business in a more focused direction, having the right foundations in place makes everything that follows easier.
A Brand Positioning Review is a simple way to step back, clarify what matters, and build from a direction that actually supports your goals.
Clear, Strategic Perspective
Answering the questions helps me understand where things stand and whether a review would be genuinely useful.
This Brand Positioning Review is offered from a brand and design perspective only. I review how your brand is positioned, communicated and expressed visually, not financial performance, legal matters or operational strategy.
Once I’ve received your request, I’ll send a confirmation email. After completing the review, we’ll arrange a call or video conversation to talk through the observations, implications and next steps, if appropriate.
